TEHRAN, November 17 - Iranian Minister of Road and Transportation Abbas Akhoundi and Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met on the sidelines of the Seventh Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA VII) in Turkmenistan, where they discussed ways to expand bilateral ties.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) -During the meeting, Meredov called for developing bilateral ties in economic transactions as well as trade, energy, transportation, goods transit and regional and international cooperation in line with establishing peace and stability in Afghanistan.
He also invited Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to visit Turkmenistan in a bid to deepen bilateral economic and regional cooperation of the two sides.
He stressed holding Iran-Turkmenistan joint cooperation commission soon, saying that the commission would pay an effective role in widening bilateral trade, economic, energy and transit cooperation of the two sides.
Akhoundi, for his part, said, Iran is ready to facilitate economic relations with neighbors.
Iran is ready to impose new tariffs to make transportation of Turkmen trucks easier, he added.
