IRGC top commander: We take pride in serving the nation

TEHRAN, November 20 - IRGC’s top commander said: Based on our planning, the quake-hit people will temporarily reside in villages west of the country.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Commander-in-Chief Major General Mohammad Ali Ja'fari visited and evaluated the progress of Basij and IRGC’s relief activities in the quake-struck areas.

In a meeting with commanders and IRGC’s high ranking officers he pointed out the priority of the quake-hit people: Thank God we have passed the peak of the crisis thanks to the great courage of the people, and so by attaining and providing necessary supplies such as food, clothes and tents, we must get through the next steps of this disaster.

He added: Agreements have been made between the IRGC and the Army and different tasks have been distributed, Khatam-al Anbiya base has been put in charge of repositioning of the victims. I hope that with the Islamic Revolution's housing foundation provides residential conexes to the victims in the next two months, for these are the main concerns of the people in this season.

Pointing out the courage and determination throughout all ranks of the IRGC to help the victims since the very first moments of the disaster he said: The IRGC takes pride in serving the nation especially the victims of the recent earthquake and by God's grace we will stay by the people's side until their lives go back to their normal routine.
