TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Rouhani expressed satisfaction over rising bilateral ties between the two countries in line with their interests, saying, “The Islamic Republic of Iran regards Kazakhstan as a reliable neighbor and partner for consultation and cooperation to strengthen regional security and stability and Islamic solidarity.”
He expressed hope that bilateral and international ties between the two sides would be expanded further relaying on valuable past experiences.
In relevant remarks in December, Iranian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Mojtaba Damirchilou underlined that Tehran and Astana are resolved to expand their economic relations.
"The recent visit of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani was aimed at boosting the economic ties between Iran and Kazakhstan," FNA quoted the Iranian envoy as saying.
He reiterated that the trade balance between Iran and Kazakhstan stood at $600 million over the past nine months.
