TEHRAN, December 24 - In its 36th year, the Fajr (Dawn) International Film Festival will bring a slate of films to Tehran City from diverse creators and storytellers from April 19-27, 2018.

Iran’s 2018 Fajr int’l fest calls for submissionsTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Established in 1982, FIFF is an annual event held by Farabi Cinema Foundation, under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Iran.

The diverse nature of the event applies to the form and content of the films as well as to the cultural backgrounds of the filmmakers.

FIFF provides the perfect opportunity every filmmaker dreams about for the premiere of their film, in front of press, film industry leaders and film lovers.

Submissions to the 36th edition have been open since November 1 for all sections of the Festival. So far, more than 600 filmmakers from 35 different countries have applied to take part in the festival, among them 300 ones are features.

The late entry deadline for foreign participants is March 1.

Directed by Reza Mirkarimi, the 36th Fajr International Film Festival will be held from April 19 to 27.
