Majlis blasts Foreign Ministry on congratulating UK on newborn

Tehran, YJC. National Security Committee has criticizes the Foreign Ministry for congratulating the UK on the recent royal birth.
The Majlis Committee for National Security and Foreign Policy Spokesman Seyyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini pointing to the Foreign Ministry Spokesman’s congratulation to UK on its recent royal birth said "The Committee knows the act to be one of apathy by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”

Providing comments on today’s session, he added "In today’s session the Committee for National Security and Foreign Policy of the Majlis the procedures for electing ministers of Foreign, Intelligence, and Defense departments in the coming administration were mentioned and the committee members’ viewpoints were pointed out and the criteria for the elections were stressed.”

He further said "Steadfast devotion to the basics of the Islamic Republic, adherence to the Guardian Jury, having the responsibility and expertise needed in the operational area, lack of records in supporting the 09 sedition, power and ability to work day and night without going to the extremes were among the criteria that were mentioned by the committee members.”

The Spokesman for the Majlis Committee for National Security and Foreign Policy then added "In this session the Foreign Ministry Spokesman’s act in congratulating the English Queen was strongly condemned and the committee considered it as an act of apathy by the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic.”

"After the committee session, the committee workgroups started their sessions. The security workgroup held a session for the consideration of an act and a proposal, the defense workgroup one on the supervision of areas polluted by mines, and the national demands workgroup one for investigating the latest status of the Gholhak Garden legal issues with related officials,” he said.
