IME trades 493 thousand tons goods in 3rd week of Jan.

TEHRAN, January 27 - Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) traded more than 493,726 MT of commodities worth over $324.5 million in the third week of January.

IME trades 493 thousand ton goods in 3rd week of Jan.TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - According to the report from IME International Affairs and PR, last week, on the domestic and export metal and mineral trading floor of IME, 148,919 MT of various products worth close to $125.7 million were traded.

On this trading floor, 3,400 MT of aluminum, 131,707 MT of steel products, 7,540 MT of copper, 6,100 MT of cement, 160 MT of molybdenum concentrates, 12 MT of precious metal concentrates as well as 20 kg of gold bullion were traded.

The report declares that on domestic and export oil and petrochemical trading floors of IME, 247,036 MT of different commodities with the total value of $161.6 million were traded.

On this trading floor, more than 68,468 MT of bitumen, 62,299 MT of polymer products, 68,075 MT of VB feed stock as well as 19,000 MT of lube-cut oil, 22,091 MT of chemical products, 2,320 MT of sulfur, 950 MT of insulation, 1,633 MT of heavy paraffin wax and 2,200 MT of slap waxes were traded.

Moreover, on the agricultural trading floor of IME, 88,581 MT of various commodities worth over $30 million were traded. On this trading floor, 46,300 MT of wheat, 30,037 MT of maize, 11,800 MT of crude vegetable oil as well as 445 MT of frozen chicken were traded by customers.

It is worth noting that during this week, the side market of IME witnessed trading of 4,400 MT of palm oil, 3,448 MT of metal scrap, 1,198 MT of polyester threads grade A and B, along with 75 MT of steel scrap, 25 MT of used locomotive engine oil and 3.4 MT of empty barrels.
