Tehran, YJC. Foreign Ministry says that there has been no agreement with Zimbabwe to provide uranium for Iran.

Iran’s Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abbas Araqchi said on Monday in an interview with YJC regarding reports that indicated a memorandum of understanding between Iran and Zimbabwe on uranium trade "As the country’s officials denied the news, I too strongly deny it, since it is not true.”

On August 10 Times reported:

Gift Chimanikire, the Zimbabwean Deputy Mining Minister, said that a memorandum of understanding had been signed to export uranium to Tehran, despite warnings from Washington of serious "ramifications” if such a deal went ahead.

Chimanikire had claimed that the memorandum had been formed unbeknownst to him, with only a few high-ranking officials of his country engaged, YJC political service reports.

The Zimbabwe state radio reports the country’s mining minister dismissing the news as "a malicious and blatant lie”, mining.com quotes AP.
