TEHRAN, February 17 - The Iranian Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign Affairs Commission has condemned a US Congressional bill aimed at imposing sanctions on Iraq's Harakat Hezbollah Al Nujaba, calling it a hostile act by Washington and an indication of US failure and inaction.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Head of the Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said that Americans try to force into inaction all the independent revolutionary anti-terrorist powers by branding them as terrorists.

'Unlike the past, today the entire world knows the United States is the biggest sponsor of the global terrorism,' Boroujerdi said, according to a report released on Saturday by the Al Nujaba office in Iran.

Washington is backing Daesh (ISIS) terrorists and when the group was in its final days it came to their rescue and evacuated them by its helicopters, the senior Iranian MP said.

'It comes with no surprise that the US brands a popular military establishment like Al Nujaba as a terrorist organization,' he said, adding that terrorism most fits Americans.

Also Kamal Dehqan Firouzabadi Deputy Chairman of Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said that the US move to blacklist Al Nujaba has been made in line with Washington's attempt to guarantee the existence of the Occupying Zionist regime.

'The United States has used the money provided by dependent countries in the region like the Saudi regime and the United Arab Emirates to propaganda against the resistance, safeguard the Israeli regime and fan flames of war in the Islamic nations,' Firouzabadi said.

He said that the United States also uses political and economic leverages like sanctions to weaken the resistance movement and groups like Al Nujaba.

Hossein Naqavi-Hosseini spokesperson of the Parliament's Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy was another member of Iran's Majlis to react to the US congressional bill to put under sanctions Iraq's Al Nujaba for alleged involvement in terrorist activities.

'Real terrorist groups work toward protecting US interests, and their names never appear on any black lists,' Naqavi-Hosseini.

But if Islamic resistance groups like Al Nujaba work toward preserving independence of their people and country, something that puts under threat US interests, then they will be designated as terrorists immediately, he said.
