Iran, Oman discuss boosting bilateral ties

TEHRAN, March 17 - Secretary of Iranian Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani and Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah discussed bilateral ties as they met in Tehran.

Iran, Oman discuss boosting bilateral tiesTEHRAN,Young Journalists Club (YJC) - During the meeting, Shamkhani said boosting ‘constructive and all-out ties” with neighbors based on meeting common interests is the most important priority in Islamic Republic of Iran’s foreign policy.

He also said there is no military solution to Yemen and the only way for peace and security in the country is to use political initiatives for participation of political and ethnical groups in future political structures in Yemen.

He then said that Iran would give ‘appropriate and right response’ to breaking promises by US towards nuclear deal and it would not accept any change, interpretation or new move which limits the nuclear deal.

Yusuf bin Alawi, for his part, said, “We admire the Islamic Republic of Iran as a reliable friend, partner and neighbor and its role in establishing peace and stability in the region.”

He then said Oman is ready for boosting economic and political ties with Iran.
