TEHRAN, YJC. Former Iranian negotiator in nuclear program has condemned the consignment of Iran's nuclear case to the Security Council as illegal.

"Five world powers received reverse results from the sanctions since with the sanctions Iran expanded its nuclear program and proved that it would no back down before them,” said Seyyed Hassan Mousavian.

He also stated that sanctions have targeted the people of Iran and have had negative effects on their lives.

Mousavian added "US policy of intimidation and sanctioning along with call for negotiations has produced the belief that in its call for friendly relationships the US is not honest.”

He added that if the US comes with goodwill it must suspend inimical measures and suggest a meaningful negotiation based on mutual respect, interests, and lack of intervention in internal affairs of Iran.”

In this meeting Nicholas Burns, former Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs of the United of America and Harvard Professor said in answer to Mousavian that Russia, China, and 190 other countries have supported sanctions against Iran and stand by the US.

Mousavian in return said that "In 2011 Russia proposed a plan supported by Iran, China, and 120 non-aligned countries. Russia PM at the time, Mr. Putin said publicly that he has come to the conclusion that under the pretext of the nuclear issue, the US is looking for a change in the Iranian regime. This is the best reason why most countries believe in peacefully resolving the issue and do not support US and Israel's inimical approach.”
