TEHRAN, April 26 - Secretary of Iranian Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani and Chinese Minister of Public Security Guo Shengkun discussed bilateral, regional and international developments as they met in the Russian City of Sochi.

Iran, China security officials discuss bilateral, regional issuesTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) – During the meeting, Shamkhani called for closer cooperation of regional countries to confront terrorism expansion.

He said joint effort to remove barriers to bilateral ties between Iran and China especially in banking and financial transactions is one of the priorities to develop mutual cooperation.

Shamkhani added putting Iran, Russia and China in the list of US national Security threat and imposing sanctions against the three countries have made it necessary to adopt a common strategy to confront the multilateral measures of the US aiming at damaging the countries.

He also stressed closer cooperation among Iran, China, Russia, Pakistan and Afghanistan to confront expansion of terrorism in the region and providing a joint a security, operational and intelligence mechanism to stop transfer and formation of terrorist groups in Afghanistan.

Guo Shengkun , for his part, said, “We' have confirmed that approaches and concerns are raised by you about the US.”

Iran holds a especial place in Chinese new international strategy and security systems, he said, adding the two side can play a decisive role in materializing wills of their leaders in developing bilateral ties.

He also said the two sides can work in providing security, fighting terrorism and organized crimes as well as projects related to energy.

China as one of P5+1 countries has had a very important role in forming and signing the nuclear deal and it supports the deal and calls on all sides to abide by their compliments to the agreement, he continued.
