TEHRAN, May 11 - The Iranian and Russian deputy foreign ministers discussed latest developments regarding the JCPOA in Tehran on Thursday.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for political affairs Abbas Araqchi and his Russian counterpart Sergey Ryabkov discussed the issues surrounding the JCPOA after President Donald Trump pulled the US out of the deal.

On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump announced the country’s withdrawal from the landmark international pact, a decision which drew fierce opposition from US allies such as the EU, Britain, Germany and France, which are still committed to the JCPOA.

After US exit from the deal, President Hassan Rouhani announced that Iran will stay in the deal as long as its interests envisaged in the JCPOA are met.
