TEHRAN, June 25 - Iran's supportive policy toward Yemen is unchangeable, said Iranian FM Spokesman condemning the Saudi regime's aggression to the impoverished country.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Attending in a weekly press conference on foreign policy development on Monday, Bahram Ghassemi condemned the Saudi-led coalition aggression to Yemen, saying that Iran's policy toward the Arab country is clear and fixed.
He then wished that international community understand the sever condition of Yemeni people more than ever and do their best to stop the Saudi regime's aggression to the war-torn country.
Iran has tried to be the voice of the victims and oppressed people of Yemen, calling international communities as well as other goverments, Ghassemi added.
The Spokesman announced that Iran is after a way to stop the Saudi aggression and send humanitarian aids to the Yemeni people who are suffering from the imposed war.
The Yemeni Ministry of Human Rights announced in a statement on March 25 that the Saudi-led war had left 600,000 civilians dead and injured since March 2015.
The United Nations says a record 22.2 million Yemenis are in need of food aid, including 8.4 million threatened by severe hunger.
A high-ranking UN aid official recently warned against the “catastrophic” living conditions in Yemen, stating that there was a growing risk of famine and cholera there.
