TEHRAN, YJC. Former Iranian Foreign Minister Manoucher Mottaki has officially declared that he is to run for the presidential elections.
Mottaki, 60, whose name would be mentioned in political circles as a candidate lately, has finally said in a letter addressed to the nation that he would certainly run for the elections.
He plans to speak about his top priorities prior to June in which Iran’s eleventh presidential elections will be held.
Last month, Secretary of Iran's Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei also said that he intended to run in the election.
"My presence in the future presidential election is certain and I will take part in the election to win,” Rezaei said.
