Tehran, YJC. Oil Minister says 5 phases of the joint South Pars field will earn the country $24 billion annually.

"The world is waiting for the sanctions to slacken so that it can use the Iranian energy,” asserted Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, ISNA reports.

Iran’s Oil Minister said that the country’s biggest achievement at the GECF session was to gain the secretariat of the forum while Russia is the Secretary General.

He also pointed out where Iran’s outgoing gas will be heading and added"The priority in gas export is given to neighbor countries, since except for Iran and Qatar, there is no regional country with extra gas. India, Turkey, Europe, and generally speaking east Asian countries are followingly given priorities for gas export.”

He also pointed to Iran’s talks with Oman and said "It is expected based on the way the negotiations are progressing that the final agreement to sell to Oman is composed and signed by the end of the year.”

Zanganeh further stated that although Iran’s gas still runs to Turkey, the latter country attempts to lower the price it pays for the gas.
