work based on a phased and reciprocal approach, it has been finally taken as a basis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Sunday after the P5+1 nuclear talks with Iran in Geneva.
"We've had very specific and lengthy negotiations," Lavrov said. "But it's been not a waste of time, a foundation for joint work has been created to define the parameters of the Iranian nuclear issue settlement based on compliance  with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) decisions and resolutions of the UN Security Council.

"The decision to continue the negotiations has been made, they will be continued by the political directors, the RF foreign minister said. "The ministers agreed - it is the general consensus of the six world powers and the Iranian foreign minister that the work will be based on a phased approach and reciprocity.

"This is a principle that the Russian side has been promoting for a long time, and it has been finally taken as the basis in the preparation of a joint document of the 3+3 group and Iran," Lavrov said.

"Our ultimate goal is to ensure the fulfilment of the UN Security Council and IAEA decisions, the minister stressed again. "The parties have managed to reach an agreement not on all the details, but all are committed to constructive work."

Lavrov said that a date of the meeting of the political directors who will be already working on a joint document would be announced soon.
