Tehran, YJC. IAEA Director General has said the agency will play its role in resolving Iran’s nuclear issue.
After Amano’s meeting with Salehi where the IAEA and Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization signed an agreement on nuclear facility inspection, the Director General met with Foreign Minister Mohammadjavad Zarif to discuss Iran’s nuclear energy in broader terms.
In the meeting which took place in Tehran on Monday, Amano expressed hopes that with closer cooperation and the agreement signed, the IAEA will be able to meet the remaining concerns and play its role in solving Iran’s nuclear case.
The IAEA Director General stressed the agency’s principal mission in overseeing and investigating the truthfulness of nuclear activities everywhere.
He expressed hope that the agency could manage to resolve the outstanding issues and play its role to remove concerns through improving cooperation with Iran in line with the new joint statement, Press TV reports.
