Govt. discusses US flights with airlines

Tehran, YJC. Iran Air CEO says the president’s office has called civil aviation companies to state their readiness to launch flights to the US.

Iran Air CEO Farhad Parvaresh in interview with ICANA said that Aliakbar Torkan, senior consultant to the president, has in letters to Iran’s civil aviation companies asked them to state whether they are ready to launch direct routes to the US.

He added that followingly, Iran Air has announced ready to launch the flight as demanded.

He said "In the past we used to launch flights to the US and now we have once more expressed our readiness.”

"We also said to Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization that once permissions for flights to the US are issued, Iran Air is ready to launch the flights,” he asserted.

The CEO of Iran Air also provided comments on recent developments in Iran-Bahrain flights and said that in about one month, the Iran-Bahrain route will be reopened with two flights to Mashhad.
