Tehran, YJC. Rouhani has asked his Chinese counterpart to take action against excessive demands by some countries.

Speaking to the Chinese president over the telephone, Hassan Rouhani said "We expect China as a great, responsible country in the international arena to act according to its duty against excess from some countries.”

The Iranian president added "There is no doubt that on the nuclear talks, countries which have proven responsible on the international arena must appear more active.”

The Chinese president in turn said "The positions countries adopt in these talks must be based on mutual respect, equality, and peacefulness.”

Xi Jinping also maintained that Iran’s foreign relations have grown much more active since the Rouhani administration.

Asserting that Iran’s foreign diplomatic measures have soothed the international atmosphere, he said "It was for disagreements among Western countries that we did not arrive at a conclusion. Iran takes highly sophisticated steps and international rules are in keeping with Iran’s national interests which shows the wisdom of the Iranian government.”

He further maintained that China will always use its international influence to resolve the current problem.
