Tehran, YJC. Lawmaker says Iran demands to be recognized as one of the world’s nuclear countries.
Addressing the nuclear accord between Iran and the Six Majors on Sunday morning, lawmaker Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said "Iran expects the West to recognize us as a country that has the nuclear technology and as a member of the nuclear circle.”
The member of the Majlis Committee for National Security and Foreign Policy speaking to IRINN said "The West expects our nuclear activities to be transparent and without deviation. We announced that we would do any kind of clarification necessary. Based on the law and religion we do not believe in deviations in the nuclear program. It is some positive agreement that the West has accepted a country as owning the nuclear technology.”
He then added that there are details to the agreement, saying "Of course there are details to the agreement which will be put to test in the next six months, so that as a country with nuclear technology, Iran will be able to continue its activities within the framework of the NPT.”
