Tehran, YJC. Following the revocation of sanctions from Iran’s petrochemicals, South American and African countries as well as India have started competing for the new opportunity.

As sanctions on Iran’s petrochemical products were revoked in the wake of the new Iran-West deal on the country’s nuclear program, different countries have started to look at the country as a new source for such products.

India, African countries, and the countries of South America are competing for Iran’s urea and ammonia export.

Secretary General of Employers Association of Petrochemicals Ahmad Mahdavi in interview with Mehr News Agency said "We welcome the revocation of sanctions on petrochemical exports to Europe, but right now we have no surplus products for export.”

He added "The domestic market on one hand and the external demand from international markets on the other have made us lack as much as one ton of petrochemical products unsold.”
