Tehran, YJC. Navy official says his forces maintain presence in international waters to prove the US inferior.
"It is expected that a navy which has to defend the country at the time of war, play a diplomatic role in the time of peace,” asserted Hossein Khanzadi, Iran's Navy Deputy Director of Planning, before the Friday sermons of Gorgan, Golestan.
"The Supreme Leader declared the Navy as the Islamic Republic of Iran’s diplomatic representative at sea. The meaning of that is that we must keep our presence in seas and announce that the true word of the Iranian nation has grown globally powerful, which means that sanctions have been ineffective,” he further said.
Khanzadi stated "When we were in the Mediterranean, Israel was shaken in its boots,” adding "Our message to the enemies and the US is, as the Supreme Leader and the founder of the revolution have said, is that the US cannot do a damn thing; and we are in the seas to prove that.”
