Tehran, YJC. Senior lawmaker says it is a scheme by the Western nuclear negotiators to propose Arab states taking part in Iran’s nuclear talks.

Speaking in interview with Mehr News Agency Esmail Kosari pointed to Arab states requesting a part in the Iran-Six Majors nuclear negotiations and said "I believe that this request is something new. It is a wonder on what grounds they would like to participate in the nuclear talks.”

Further pointing out Iran’s reasons for holding talks with the 5+1 group, the member of National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Majlis stated "The reason why Iran holds talks with the Six Majors is that these countries are members of the Security Council and it is them who took the case there. It is a curious case that some Arab states would sit around, brain storm, and then request a part there, whereas they are not the decision-makers. Our diplomats will have to see into the matter and make out what story lies behind it.”

Kosari further provided comments on the UAE’s request for a part in Iran’s nuclear negotiations and said "I think that the four European countries along with the US have devised a new scheme here. Therefore our officials must take care to discern the core of the matter, since the Arab states which have made the request do not hold such a position.’

He added "These talks have been going on for near ten year. So far there has been no Arab country making such a request. So it seems to be a plan by other countries.”
