Tehran, YJC. Ali Akbari says he has gone victim to wrestling mafia as he is banned for life.

Heavyweight who has returned to action only in July after a two-year ban says he has gone victim to wrestling mafia in his second, life-time ban.

Amir Ali Akbari maintained that his positive doping result must have been due to a pill given to him by the Bulgarian coach of Azerbaijan’s national team while in the massage room.

Expressing uncertainty whether the pill has done the trick he added that he does not remember taking anything suspicious beside that pill.

"I swear to great God that all I say is honest and right. I want to say I never did the doping they accused me of and I am ready to go to whatever court there is for it,” Akbari exclaimed.

Pointing also to Azerbaijan’s offer he said "The offer was made right after 2010. Right when I was banned they offered me to go there and they promised they would resolve my ban.”

"During that 4-5 months when I was in Azerbaijan I thought a lot and I concluded that I was not the one to wrestle for money. I even received 30 percent of my contract with them and right now as I speak I am in debt to them,” he said.
