Police who do not lose weight will not get promotions

Tehran, YJC. Police Health Department is considering a new set of regulations for officers.

The Head of the Police Health Department Brigadier General Ali Majidi on Wednesday said that the department has taken measures to improve the officers’ health and appearance.

Stating that overweight officers will have to improve their physique he said "The police forces height and weight has been measured and if they do not lose weight they will not get promotions.”

"The forces are required to do exercises for 1 hour and 30 minutes every day,” he asserted, adding "The amount of lead existing in the officers’ bodies will be tested. Also milk will be distributed as nutrition, not as remedy for pollution.”

Majidi further said "There is also this plan to examine the officers’ health based on the units where they serve by periods of 4, 2, or 1 year, where general examinations and specialist tests will be carried out.”
