Tehran, YJC. Larijani says sanctions have counted nothing in directing Iran to negotiations.

Ali Larijani speaking at the opening of the parliament’s session today said "The enemies try to show that sanctions are the reason for Iran to change course. Their talk rather shows how much they needed the negotiations. If their psychological malady is cured by such shoddy talk they can keep wishing.”

No country is hated by Muslims as much as America, he exclaimed, adding "Introducing itself as the advocate of democracy, the US is looking for a resting place in its dream land in order to justify itself.”

The Majlis Speaker further stated "Western intellectuals believe these days that the Western democracy has lost its attractiveness and that Western societies have grown torpid.”

"The capitalist world has grown lethargic and faces identity crisis,” he pointed out.

Pointing to European diplomats and businessmen visiting Iran recently, he said "As they visited Iran, they said they saw no sign of sanctions.”
