Tehran, YJC. Lawmaker says border guards were kidnapped due to loose Pakistani security measures.

Seyyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini, Spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Majlis, in interview with Nasim Online pointed to the kidnapping of 5 Iranian guards at the Sistan and Baluchestan border by a terrorist group and said "It is a pity that our border with Pakistan has turned into a place for terrorist groups’ operations. To solve the problem we need to settle for serious talks with the Pakistani government.”

Maintaining that terrorist groups use the not-so-secure circumstances against Iranian citizens, he said "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially criticized the Pakistani government since such operations are organized inside the Pakistani soil.”

Naqavi further stated "If Pakistan is unable to secure its border with Iran, it will have to ask the Islamic Republic of Iran to take action, because according to international regulations this is a right for every country.”
