Tehran, YJC. Defense Minister has explained about Iran’s two newly developed types of missile.

The Defense Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Major General Hossein Dehqan speaking to reporters on Monday stated that the armed forces have successfully tested newly-made missiles.

"The new generation of long-range, ground to ground ballistic missiles with the warhead ‘Barani’ are used for destroying the enemy’s war equipment and military facilities,” he said.

Dehqan added that the abilities to escape the enemy’s ballistics, destroy extended targets, and target more than one object are characteristics of the newly tested missile.

He also pointed to the laser-guided missile recently produced by Iran’s defense industry and said "Bina is an air-to-surface and surface-to-surface laser-guided missile which can be launched either from fighters or any sort of ground launch pad.”

The Defense Minister further stated that Bina can destroy bridges, tanks, war equipments, and buildings.
