TEHRAN, YJC. Iran Minister of Foreign Affairs has expressed optimism on the outcome of Iran-5+1 talks.
Speaking to
reporters today in Najaf, Iraq, Salehi said "The negotiations have had positive
results and now it is necessary that the sides take another step forward.”
The Islamic
Republic of Iran Minister of Foreign Affairs asserted "What is important is
that talks with 5+1 is on the right track.”
He also
provided comments on the Iraqi crisis as "Iran does not intend to interfere in
domestic issues of Iraq. We believe that
Iraqi officials and parties can solve problems by themselves.”
Salehi expressed
hope that Iraqi religious and political parties soon solves problems via
negotiation.
The Iranian FM
also pointed to conditions in Syria and said "Iran does not approve of foreign
intervention in the Syrian crisis and believes that it must be solved with
talks and the implementation of public opinion.”
Salehi stressed
the fact that Iran’s long-standing position on Syria has been a Syrian-Syrian way
out.
