Tehran, YJC. Iran’s Majlis Speaker says Western powers have lost their sway over the region.

Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani speaking in a meeting in Shirgah, Mazandaran on Wednesday afternoon said "In the past 10 years enemies have lost control and they are no longer able to predict the events. Following the Egyptian revolution the US exhibited 3 different approaches within one week. They are volatile on Syria as well.”

"Our country has made great advancement in military industry. Iran is a newly-sprung power in the region. Americans do wrong to fight it. Whatever war that may break out this power can resist it,” he asserted.

He further said "Iran has had great progress in nano-technology and stem cells, because the revolution has opened doors to the youth.”

Pointing to regional unrest he said "They set up scuffles so that the extremist current turned into a crisis. Of course this shows how stupid the enemies are because Iran believes in Islamic unity.”

Providing comments on unrest in Egypt and Iraq he said "After Hezbollah broke the hasp of Israel’s back in the 33-day war, they stirred the Shiite-Sunny clash.”

"Regional circumstances are a very opportune occasion for the Islamic nation to attain their real stand. There is an important mission here for Iranians and they must not get exhausted,” Larijani stated.
