TEHRAN, Apr 10 - Japan's Foreign Minister says his country will not follow Washington's policy against Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Taro Kono said in a conference on Tuesday night that Japan did not want to follow US in blacklisting IRGC as a terrorist organization.

Kono said that Japan has kept its close ties with Iran.

Turkey, Qatar, China, and Iraq also separately denounced US President Donald Trump’s recent move to designate Iran’s IRGC as a terrorist group.

In a statement released on Monday Donald Trump designated the IRGC “a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) under Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act.”

In reaction to the designation, Iran labeled the US CENTCOM as a terrorist organization, and threatened that US forces in the region would not have calm anymore.
