Tehran, YJC. Azeri president has said his trip to Iran has been very successful.
The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev reporting to his cabinet after returning from Iran stated that his visit had been successful.
Aliyev pointed to agreements signed between the two countries during his visit to Tehran and said "Mutual relations between the two countries will be greatly improved. During the trip to Tehran the new makeup of the joint committee was introduced and the committee will be holding meetings in the near future.”
He added "Much will be done in all sections. We have active cooperation with Iran within international organizations. We are in close and highly positive relations with neighbor countries.”
Maintaining
that Azerbaijan is the initiator of the tripartite cooperation model in the
region, he stated that Azerbaijan, Iran, and Turkey are pursuing shared
interests via foreign ministries.
