Tehran, YJC. Chief of Police has blamed extra-territorial forces for Iran’s insecure eastern borders.

Head of Iran’s Police Brigadier General Esmail Ahmadi Moghaddam who was speaking in the sidelines of the 3rd round of exercises on border security stated "Although powerful guarding, suitable roads, advanced equipment, and border police stations lay grounds for security, border guarding measures are not the only factor that determines security over borders.”

Maintaining that foreign intervention threatens security over Iran’s eastern borders, he said "The insecurity that exists over the eastern borders is the result of circumstances in Afghanistan and Pakistan.”
