Basij Commander Brigadier General Mohammd Reza Naqdi who was speaking in the sidelines of the inauguration of Cinema Revayat on Sunday evening said "Cinema is a highly influential media in our time. Western countries, including the Zionists, have turned cinema into a tool which they use to reach their goals. That’s why cinema can be our real battlefield with them.”
"Sound, documented criticism is necessary for development in all areas,” he emphasized, adding "Religion also tells us be unforgiving in your criticism but to treat others fairly when we criticize.”
Naqdi asserted "We do admit that cinema is a very influential media in our time. Cinema lays impact on society,” adding "We are not going to back down in that arena. Fighting the wrongdoer is justified by wisdom. The damage suffered in battle is much less than the damage suffered in surrender to the enemy. So many people say wisdom is in cooperation with and surrender to the enemy. Our kind people withstood the missiles to show that the best way is to resist.”
Emphasizing the role of media he said "Firearms are losing application in today’s world day after day. They have given place to the power of handling the public mind. That is the way they sway over the public mind.”
