Tehran, YJC. Rouhani has stated that Iran has to try to grow free of import in health care and drugs.
Hassan Rouhani who was unveiling the line for producing human
growth hormone said "This year we have to try to stand by our own in different
fields of science and technology. We have to make the country free of importing
goods from overseas.”
In the resistance economy we have to stand on our own feet
and export our products to other countries, said Rouhani, adding "The import of
a large number of drugs which used to be taken from overseas was halted starting
March. We are trying not only to save on curency, but to reach complete
independence by producing other products needed in health and medicine.”
The President further pointed out "It is a highly important
fact that all the equipment needed for the growth hormone production line as
well as the product’s special laboratory have been made inside the country. Even
the industrial countries whose products we used to use admit that the equipment
is first-rate.”
