Tehran, YJC. Araqchi Iran and the US are going to hold talks around the country’s nuclear program on Wednesday and Thursday.

Top Iranian nuclear negotiator and Deputy Foreign Minister said "The Iranian and American negotiation teams will hold bilateral talks tomorrow and the day after in Geneva. No topic except Iran’s nuclear negotiations with the Six Majors will not be the subject matter, either in multi or bilateral sessions.”

"They told us that tomorrow the US delegation will be headed by William Burns, the US Foreign Secretary’s second guy and deputy to John Kerry. He will be accompanied by Mrs. Sherman,” Abbas Araqchi pointed out.

Asked if the list of US attending members indicates any rise in the level of the negotiations he answered "I’d make no interpretation. Mr. Burns has experience in such talks. For whatever reason it has been decided that he will attend the talks for the time being.”

Araqchi added that he will be accompanied by Mr. Takht Ravanchi, Deputy Foreign Minister in EU and Americas Affairs, for the talks.

Adding that the Iranian delegation will visit Rome on Wednesday and Thursday to attend the disarmament conference, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister stated "There also we have made plans to hold bilateral talks with our Russian counterpart Sergey Rybakov. Maybe there will be bilateral talks with our European counterparts as well. There is also the possibility that my counterparts may visit Iran before the June 16 session.”
