TEHRAN, Nov 15_ The head of the Atomic Energy Organization claims the country's nuclear specialists are capable of delivering over 2,000 enrichment capacity within a month.

Iran capable of enriching above 20,000 units: SalehiTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club(YJC)_In a radio interview, Ali Akbar Salehi, head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), stated Iran, by accepting restrictions that do not impair the nature of its program, has now taken technical measures.

"One limitation was not to make uranium metal; we didn't have the structure to manufacture it or plutonium metal, but these constraints did not damage mining and exploration, building a nuclear power plant or a fuel cycle," he explained.

Trump's withdrawal from the JCPOA, gave the Iranian nation an opportunity to realize that the 2015 deal was written in a way which Iranians could build and test 10 new machine models. Iranian specialists have been working around the clock to show that the nuclear industry is still alive.

"We do not intend to bring these machines into production, but it was more of a political challenge that we had to show Iran’s capacity to our adversaries," he said. "So they know if they deceive us, Iran is smart enough not to burn the bridges at its back but to also place others to return better than before.”

According to Salehi, around 3,000 units of enrichment have been added to the previous 6,000 which is about a 50% present growth and now they are capable of adding another 20% in the span of one month. The Agency's latest report also confirmed these measures.

“The opposing side created a political game and lost and is now looking for a way out,” he stated. “European countries now comprehend that Iran will not remain silent if they continue to violate their commitments. Restrictions were set along with a suitable rhythm to move forward slowly. With America’s behavior, we decided to move some things quicker by doing so we showed that we had the capability and did so with five new machines.”

The enrichment at Fordow is activated by four machines. Although Fordow is the place to replace Natanz in times of threat, but the machines were still activated there and just a day after the order was announced, a cylinder was moved to Fordow and three days later, the agency confirmed the commencement of enrichment.

At the end, he added “The foreign media is trying to instill despair in the nation's mind but people know there is an all-out economic and security war. Iran will be the winner in this field and all these threats will soon disappear like smoke in the air. We have been progressing steadily over the years and will continue to do so.”
