TEHRAN, YJC. First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Iran has said that due to lack of success in economic agenda in the current Iranian year, some individuals and organizations active in economic sphere have asked the Supreme Leader to reset this year’s national motto for the next.

Mohammadreza Bahonar said in interview with Mehr News Agency "In 91 many things happened in the country’s economy which unfortunately had negative impacts.”

He added "All in all we had no success in the motto ‘National production and application of Iranian labor and capital’. Therefore some economic centers such as Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) have officially asked the Supreme Leader to reset the motto for next year in order that the intended policies may be followed.”

First Deputy Speaker of the Majlis asserted "In the past four years, though, the Supreme Leader has chosen economic mottos. This year also we must see what name he chooses.”
