Tehran, YJC. Dehqan says ISIS are war criminals.
Iran’s Minister of Defense Major General Hossein Dehqan who
was speaking to a group of scientific elites and talents of the country’s
defense industry staff pointed to recent developments in Iraq and said "The
terrorist ISIS and their supporters have to be punished as war criminals.”
Stating that such terrorist movements are aimed at creating
a secure buffer for Israel he said "ISIS is the offspring of an unconventional
bond between the US, the Zionist regime, and regional reactionary entities.”
"There is a fate scarier than that of Saddam waiting this
terrorist group. Such antihuman acts are sure to boomerang on the supporters as
well,” he emphasized.
Pointing out that it is necessary for all ethnic and
religious groups of Iraq to unite in order to save the country he said "Today
the interest of all lies in integrity and national cohesion. It is a fact that
the parties which interfere with Iraq’s domestic affairs from abroad do not
care for the country’s dignity or independence and would not seek any interest
for its groups or ethnicities.”
The Iranian Defense Minister then stated that Iran endorses
Iraq’s territorial integrity and maintained "The Islamic Iran wants an
integrated, unified, secure, and advanced Iraq and it will endorse any action
that would help bring that about.”
