Mahmoud Vaezi: US, EU Troika Cause of JCPOA Failure

Iranian President's Chief of Staff, Mahmoud Vaezi, said that US and three EU members (UK, Germany and France) lead the failure of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and added that they should be responsible for consequences.

Vaezi tweets on Thursday that: “The EU Foreign Policy Chief, Josep Borrell’s late interview on the concerns about JCPOA failure was realistic and his words were true.”

But he noted in his tweet that the reason for JCPOA failure is the US’ cruel and persistent sanctions and the EU Troika’s non-commitment toward their responsibility therefore they must prepare themselves to face its dangerous repercussions.

the Iranian Foreign Ministry in a relevant remark regard to this hinted these three EU members (Britain, France, Germany) to be aware of their own responsibilities, stick to them and keep a watchful eye over the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as Iran Nuclear Deal.

This ministry also highlighted and added in its statement back then that US withdrawal from the agreement turned it to a unilateral one which brought lots of obstacle to its members.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) known commonly as the Iran nuclear deal or Iran deal, is an agreement on the Iranian nuclear program reached in Vienna on July 14, 2015, between Iran and the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council—China, France, Russia, United Kingdom, United States—plus Germany) together with the European Union, but US’ illegal moves have seriously jeopardized the deal.
