Tehran, YJC. After Joseph, Salahshour is thinking to make a TV series on the life of Moses.

Farajollah Salahshour is a filmmaker whose work focuses mainly on stories from the Quran.

So far he has made popular films on Job and Joseph which attracted millions of viewers on Iran’s national TV.

Now he says he is going to make the life of Moses.

"I started making this film with recommendations from the Supreme Leader,” Salahshour stated, adding "Moses is not just the Jews’ prophet, he is our prophet as well and we have to show our gratitude to him.”

"My main objective by making this film is to teach the tenets of Islam to people around the globe. Also we need the notions very much in our own current society,” he stated.

The filmmaker further said "It has been four years since we started writing the script. The research and story-writing is done. Of the series’ 75 episodes 69 are ready and the remaining six will be soon over.”

He maintained that he and his team are waiting for the budget so that they may shoot the serial.

"Islamic and non-Islamic sources from other religions has been used which include the Gospels, the Torah, and others. But this does not mean that we have not used the religious believes that are told in the Quran,” he added.
