Tehran, YJC. World’s highest sand dunes are home to patients who resort to the hot sands to treat their illnesses these days.

Rigan County stands to the east of Kerman, central Iran, and is situated by the hot Lut Desert.

Some of the sand dunes in this area are 75 m high.

The area has become a tourist attraction as people travel from neighboring provinces to treat their illnesses by burying themselves under the hot sand.

Some of the visitors say they prefer the sand dunes to spas for the treatment of their illnesses.

Local authorities say tourist come to the area mostly in the fall, winter, and spring.
