Saturday, 28 November 2020_Wolfsburg have extended their unbeaten run to 9 matches after a thrilling 5-3 win over Werder Bremen.
The visitors went ahead after 13 minutes of play when Leonardo Bittencourt rippled the roof of the net. But Wolfsburg got their opener, thanks to Ridle Baku’s screamer and then took the lead through a fine header by John Brooks.
Bremen equalized in the 36th minute when Kevin Mohwald’s impressive header crept inside. Parity lasted just a minute as the hosts scored through Wout Weghorst. Bremen were up for a fight and leveled it 2 minutes after the break thanks to an own goal by brooks. Wolfsburg broke the tie in the 76th minute with Weghorst completing his brace, and Bartosz Bialek wrapped up the scoring to send Wolfsburg up to 5th place in the standings.
