Iran-Azerbaijan postal cooperation rejected

Tehran, YJC. Director of the Postal Services of Azerbaijan Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has rejected a cooperation proposal due to Iran’s old postal system.

Noruz Mohamadev, Director of the Postal Services of Azerbaijan Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, pointed to the willingness of Azərpoçt to expand cooperation with Iran and said "Recurrent attempts by Azərpoçt for regulating monetary transactions with Iran has had no avail.”

He said that the Iranian operator had proposed to use the old system for monetary transactions but the Azerbaijani side refused due to the time-consuming operation of the old system.
