Tehran, YJC. The Iranian Space Agency says Iran is one of the to-be powers in aerospace technology.
Two years ago Iran sent its first biological pack to space to become the 15th country to do so. Right now it is planning on sending its third.
Iran stands among the world’s five rising stars in aerospace as the fastest one in gaining the technology.
Vice President of the Iranian Space Agency Hamid Fazeli Qael speaking on the first day of the international space week said that the country is building a capsule to sent to space.
The third project will be launched by the end of this year and it will have one more suborbital spacecraft than the previous carrier.
The official noted that the agency has 5 satellite project underway under the names of Zafar, Tolou, Pars, Sharif Sat, and Nahid.
Pointing to Iran’s position in aerospace expertise, he noted that the country is among the five emerging states active in this sector and that many countries are following Iran’s lead in their space programs.
Mastering the technology for geosynchronous satellites, localizing, designing, and launching of telecommunications and remote-sensing satellites as well as establishing launch pads and telemetry stations are among other priorities of ISA, the official said.
Last year, Iran launched the space satellite Tadbir. The project was overseen by the agency and carried out by the University of Science and Technology in a fully indigenized way.
