Monday, 9 August 2021 (YJC)_ Iran's ambassador in Baghdad demanded that the Iraqi government agree to send Iranian pilgrims to participate in the Arbaeen ceremony.
Iraj Masjedi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad, met with Hamid Naeem Al-Ghazi, Secretary of the Iraqi Government, and the two sides discussed some common issues.
During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of expanding relations and cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad in various fields that benefit the people of the two countries.
Al-Ghazi stressed the importance of resolving water problems and reaching common understandings in order to establish water stability, as well as determining the real causes of the problems in this area.
On the other hand, Iraj Masjedi announced that Iran has made the necessary preparations to start the railway connection project between Iran and Iraq.
