Saturday, 21 August 2021 (YJC)_ German sources say the German chancellor will travel to the occupied territories next week to meet with the Israeli prime minister.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who will step down after 16 years, will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett in Jerusalem next Sunday (August 29th), Deputy Government Spokesperson and Deputy Head of the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government Ulrike Dimmer told during a press conference.
She is also scheduled to meet with Israeli President Ishaq Herzog.
Merkel will travel from August 28 to 30.
She is scheduled to visit the Holocaust Memorial.
