Sunday, 29 August 2021 (YJC)_ The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran will travel to Syria for the second purpose of his visit to the region and after his visit to Iraq.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, paid his first foreign trip to Baghdad on Saturday (August 28th) to attend a regional meeting in support of Iraq.
In the second destination of this trip, he will leave for Syria today to meet and talk with the officials of this country.
Prior to his visit to Baghdad, our Foreign Minister stated: "We welcome any regional initiative by the Iraqi authorities with the participation of the people of the region."
