Tuesday, 31 August 2021 (YJC)_"We have had three rounds of talks with the Saudi side so far, and the fourth round will be held following the formation of the new Iranian government," said Iraj Masjedi, Iran's ambassador to Iraq.
Masjidi reiterated Tehran's full support for Baghdad in rebuilding and developing the country.
"We have strong ties with the Iraqi people and we have officially announced that Iran will stand by Iraq with power to rebuild the affected areas," Masjidi said.
Regarding regional relations and Iraq's role in bringing Iran and Saudi Arabia closer, the Iranian ambassador said: "Through the cooperation of the Iraqi government, we held three rounds of talks with Saudi Arabia in Baghdad, and the fourth round will be held following the formation of the new Iranian government."
"Iran is a large and civilized country and is ready for any kind of dialogue with countries, including Saudi Arabia," he said. "Iran has declared its readiness for dialogue and peace and has extended its hand to help neighboring countries and the region."
