Friday, 17 September 2021 (YJC)_ The Dutch official resigned after a majority in the Dutch parliament concluded that the foreign minister had failed to deport refugees from Afghanistan.
The Dutch Foreign Minister, Sigrid Kaag, announced his resignation on Thursday following the aftershocks of the scandalous withdrawal of the United States and its allies from Afghanistan.
According to Reuters, the Dutch official's resignation came after a majority in the country's parliament recognized that he had not done his job of evacuating refugees from Afghanistan properly.
Following the February 2020 agreement between the United States and the Taliban and the signing of a "peace agreement" between the two sides, the process of withdrawing US troops and allies from Afghanistan began.
